The Municipality of Sidon announced that, in light of the current security conditions and a follow-up of field conditions in the city of Sidon, the Municipality of Sidon has coordinated with the relevant security authorities regarding the branch of the “Al-Qard Al-Hassan Foundation” located on Riad Al-Solh Street, in view of the fact that the building may be among the sites likely to be targeted in light of the security developments, and the resulting risks to public safety in an area witnessing a high residential and commercial density. She indicated that, within the framework of field follow-up and joint coordination with the concerned authorities, the Lebanese Army Command, and the Mechanics Committee, the process of removing the signboard for the aforementioned branch on Riad Al-Solh Street took place today, and coordination was also made to evacuate the floor occupied by the branch of its assets. This measure comes as a precautionary step aimed at reducing potential risks, organizing the field situation in the area, and following up on the security situation of the building and its surroundings in a way that contributes to the protection of citizens and public and private property.
